New Site Design Coming Soon!

I’m in the process of changing the look and structure of my site.  So if things look a little out of place, don’t worry I’ll have everything cleaned up soon.  I’m getting ready to really expand my offerings and the current design of the site just isn’t letting me get everything presented the way I would like.  And the fact that I just have to keep tweaking things probably has something to do with it too.  Be sure to check back soon for the new spiffy Scrap Quest site!

Scrappy Saturday

Just wanted to share a few new layouts I did this last week.  For these layouts I used a new kit from my fellow Faith Sisters designer, Cinda.  Its called Starfield Dreams and was inspired by her trip to Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  I love the grungy look and the word art was so fun to use.

This first one is a simple layout with a picture of Sir Q. playing with hubby at the park when he was about 2 1/2.

Lift Off

This next one is of Sir Q. at about 18 months in his little Darth Vader t-shirt waving a flash light around.

The Force

And the last one is with Capt C.  These are current pictures of him at our local science museum watching a perpetual motion display.  I love how these photos capture his complete amazement as he watched.  The Yoda quote word art was just too perfect for these photos!

Truly Wonderful

Birthday Party Photo Roundup

We had a great time at Sir Q.’s birthday party.  I managed to get the Word World cake figured out and he loved it.  We had about 6 kiddos total and very few tears so I would say that it went well.  It was a little crowed in our living room but I think everyone had a good time playing.  Here’s a quick collage of the day.  I’m working on geting some scrapped and will share them soon.

Word Party Kit (Word World Inspired)

Sir Q’s birthday is this weekend and we are doing a letter theme in honor of his love for the PBS show Word World.  Everything in Word World is built out of the letters in their name and Sir Q. is really taking notice.  Recently he has started spelling the words that he has seen in the show all by himself.  If you have little one’s around and haven’t seen this show yet, you need to check it out.

So I decided to create a digital kit to fit the birthday theme and use it to make invitations to send out.  The little kit I whipped up is now in the Faith Sisters shop and on sale for the weekend.  So I invite you to join our Word Party!

And I have a fun 3D Alpha to go with it!

And to get the party started early, I’ve got the invitation I made up as a quick card in the shop for free (for a limited time), so make sure you check it out.

Just add your party details and a photo of the birthday star and you’ll have a great looking invite to send out to your party guests.

Be sure to check back next week for photos of our Word World inspired party and to see if I figured out a way to make a cake that looks like it is made out of the letters C-A-K-E. ;)

Scrappy Saturday

I have a few new layouts that I realized I hadn’t shared yet.  Two are from the Faith Sisters birthday bash challenges last weekend and two are from a new collab kit, Noah’s Ark, that some of the Faith Sisters designers put together.

The first one is of my boy’s ultrasound pictures.
