Little Boy’s Dream Quick Page

I’ve been scrapping again! This time I got to work with a really fun kit from Serene by RW. Little Boy’s Dream is full of a little of everything boy. There’s bugs, vehicles, rocks, critters and more.  Add some fun metal and paper elements and this kit gives you plenty of options.  A nice mix of patterned and solid papers made it easy to get just the look I wanted. Whether you have little boys or men who act like little boys, this kit will be great for scrapping your memories!

If you want to get a little taste of this kit, I have a freebie for you! I really loved this grungy paper and all the stitches. While this quick page definately has a boy feel to it, it would work for a variety of photos. I hope you like it!

Available HERE from 3/26/10 to 4/2/10.

Here’s my layout using this quick page.  These pictures of Sir Q really show off his personality. He looks pretty serious but you can see a hint of a smile coming through.

I loved this kit so much that I just couldn’t stop at one layout.  Here’s another one for Sir Q.  You better keep an eye on those dinosaur toys, they can be viscous. :)

Warm Feeling Quick Page

I’ve been keeping myself busy with all my design projects lately and haven’t really made time to keep up with my own scrapbooking, so I recently joined a digital scrapbook site, Pretty Scrappy, in order to get me to make some time for myself. I’m on their Quick Page team and that means that after I do my layout, I turn it into a quick page for you to play with. You will find them here on my blog, and for free to boot!

So lets get to the goodies! I got to play with a beautiful kit from the Pretty Scrappy designer, Ruby Lane. Its called Warm Feeling and the rich colors are just beautiful. With winter continuing to linger here, I really needed a warm feeling. There is a great blend of patterned and textured papers, to give you plenty of options and the elements are great for all types of layouts.  I really loved the mixture of metal, paper and extracted elements. I could see this kit being used for fall, masculine or heritage layouts, as well as for everyday.  It’s currently on sale too! ;)

Here’s my layout with the kit. I’m a sucker for grungy textures and this rusty paper caught my eye right away.  I thought the colors worked perfectly with these pictures I have of the hubby and Sir Q from a couple years ago.

I know what you are thinking. Didn’t she say something about freebie? Yes I did and here it is. I turned my layout into a quick page and you can grab it for free for the next 7 days. After that you can find it in the Pretty Scrappy shop under the Just a Buck category.

Available HERE from 3/22/2010 until  3/29/2010.

New Scrapbook Layouts

This year I am working on a couple of fun projects over at Faith Sisters.  The first is their weekly Lifetime Story challenges.  By keeping up with all the challenges I will complete an album by the end of the year that tells my life story up to this point.  I’ve already fallen behind but I’m just going to keep on keeping on.

My other recent layouts are for my faithbooking album and they are inspired by some of my favorite songs.  The monthly challenge, My Sweet Sweet Song, is actually led by me :) , and each month we are working with a different theme and color swatch.

So that’s what I’ve been doing with my scrappy time lately.  I still have tons of pictures of the boys to get scrapped, but its nice to get started on some albums for myself.

Cookie Making w/ Capt C.

My littlest has been sick today but he still managed to make me smile with his cuteness.  I love the little faces he makes when I try to help him.
