Warm Feeling Quick Page

I’ve been keeping myself busy with all my design projects lately and haven’t really made time to keep up with my own scrapbooking, so I recently joined a digital scrapbook site, Pretty Scrappy, in order to get me to make some time for myself. I’m on their Quick Page team and that means that after I do my layout, I turn it into a quick page for you to play with. You will find them here on my blog, and for free to boot!

So lets get to the goodies! I got to play with a beautiful kit from the Pretty Scrappy designer, Ruby Lane. Its called Warm Feeling and the rich colors are just beautiful. With winter continuing to linger here, I really needed a warm feeling. There is a great blend of patterned and textured papers, to give you plenty of options and the elements are great for all types of layouts.  I really loved the mixture of metal, paper and extracted elements. I could see this kit being used for fall, masculine or heritage layouts, as well as for everyday.  It’s currently on sale too! ;)

Here’s my layout with the kit. I’m a sucker for grungy textures and this rusty paper caught my eye right away.  I thought the colors worked perfectly with these pictures I have of the hubby and Sir Q from a couple years ago.

I know what you are thinking. Didn’t she say something about freebie? Yes I did and here it is. I turned my layout into a quick page and you can grab it for free for the next 7 days. After that you can find it in the Pretty Scrappy shop under the Just a Buck category.

Available HERE from 3/22/2010 until  3/29/2010.

Family Photo Shoot

We’ve been meaning to have a family photo taken for a long time, well since Capt. C was born!  My sister-in-law got a spiffy new camera recently, so she went with us to the park to try and get some pictures.  The boys did pretty good, although they would have much rather spent the whole time running around. I love how the pictures turned out.  They look great with the natural setting and the boys personalities really came through.  I did do some photo editing and cropping to get them just the way I wanted.

Time to Roll Out a New Kit

I’m really excited about my newest kit.  Since my Lil’ Adventure Series was inspired by my sons, I figured it was time to do one for my hubby.  He loved the first Transformers movies so much that I think our dvd may be getting worn out. =P  We were also at the early showing on opening day for the second one this summer.  There’s just something about giant robots fighting and blowing things up that brings out the kid in him.  Oh wait, the kid in him never went away.  I think he can’t wait till the boys get bigger so they can play with the “cool” toys and then he can play with them too.

So, Roll Out was inspired by our favorite robots in disguise and is full of metal, grunge and more.  Its available in my shop at Faith Sisters and is on sale over the weekend.  I’ve also made the papers available separately and there is a bonus quick page for you to get a taste of the kit.  Click on the images to be taken to the shop.

One of my fellow designers over at Faith Sisters, Cinda from Digital Compilations by Cinda, helped me out by doing a couple of layouts with the kit. Thanks Cinda!
